I was cleaning my desk this morning and guess what I just realized?

I am a SERIAL collector of PENS, PENCILS, NOTEPADS, POST-ITS and DIARIES/PLANNERS.

I have TONS on my study desk at home. The photos here are of the ones from my study desk - JUST THE ONES FROM MY DESK! I also have "stash" in the kids' play room (which I shortly used as a study room, law school era); in my memorabilia boxes (aka Megabox plastic wares) which I keep in the toilet aka storage; and, of course, I also have tonsss at the office. Really, I do not understand why I seem to have this need (or want) to have this much writing paraphernalia, but, clearly, I seem to not be able to help myself whenever I see a cute one for sale in a bookstore.

I still have my journals from year 2003 (and the years after), can you believe it? I can tell you where I had lunch with who and why on a particular day that year. Or when my last day of period was or what kind of crazy I was feeling... All the nonsense tidbits I wrote down and events (work-related or otherwise) I deemed important to remember are all in these journals. I even have written recollections of the fights I had with hubby during our early dating days, circa 2009. And that bucket-list I wrote few years back, half of it I just crossed out. So INSANE!

Well, at best, these journals are actually a testament to how far I've come - from this lost, young and angry girl to the woman I am now. I sure can remember how difficult it was to be that young girl and even though I can't anymore relate to the person I was years ago, my quirky, pen/post-it/notebook hoarder self remains and will persist for years to come.

Soooo looking forward to re-reading my notes (and drown in nostalgia) in five years time!
