Hoarder Of All Pens Cute

crazy in love with Muji's cheap but enduring pens!

I was cleaning my desk this morning and guess what I just realized?

I am a SERIAL collector of  PENS, PENCILS, NOTEPADS, POST-ITS and DIARIES/PLANNERS.

I have TONS on my study desk at home. The photos here are of the ones from my study desk - JUST THE ONES FROM MY DESK! I also have "stash" in the kids' play room (which I shortly used as a study room, law school era); in my memorabilia boxes (aka Megabox plastic wares) which I keep in the toilet aka storage; and, of course, I also have tonsss at the office. Really, I do not understand why I seem to have this need (or want) to have this much writing paraphernalia, but, clearly, I seem to not be able to help myself whenever I see a cute one for sale in a bookstore.

who needs 16 different writing pens, 9 pencils, 4 permanent markers and highlighters at home?

tons of post-its
just some of my unopened packs of post-its and notepads/notebooks

Insecure and fat so I thought of juicing...

When a woman gives birth to her third child and has been changing dress sizes from XS to XXL to S then XL and vice versa, the weight gain (and loss and gain) and wanting to lose weight again can be SUPER frustrating. Pardon my stereotyping, it's not that fat isn't beautiful (that's not the point here, my point is that), I have been TINY my whole life thus 133 lbs. and medium to large is a wardrobe nightmare for me! I stand 5 feet and 5 inches tall with a shoe size of 6 even 7 now (used to be 5 and a half) thus my current weight is horrific for my feet! I feel heavy, I have no decent clothes to wear (except my worn-out maternity clothes) because all my clothes are painfully size 4 and 6 and I am currently a 10 or a 12! I feel ugly and unhealthy... (chos!)

So, yet again, I searched for ways that I can expedite my weight loss while working my ass off in the gym. I came across adverts about juicing and stuff and since I am a goat reincarnate, it got me interested and very curious. I wanted to juice right away!!! (And starve myself til' I go down XXS) Unfortunately, the current juicers we have at home are centrifugal juicers, meaning, they kill the healthy enzymes from these fruits/veggies. So they say. We use our "cen-tri-fu-gal" juicer for juicing just oranges because when I tried juicing apples or grapes with it, t'was really a not-so-hot mess. Imagine using said juicer to juice malunggay leaves, right?! I wanted to get that Php14K Hurom juicer for the lifestyle I want to adapt... (next payday of course hahaha). The thing is, what if I don't really like juicing? I'll be left with another juicer of no use, right?!

Fortunately, a friend has been really crazy about juicing and even made a business out of it. Enter GREEN AGENDA BY NING DUREZA-UY.

Wildflour Cafe + Bakery

Ever since that cronuts fad came out, been wanting to sample 'em from the cafe + bakery that started it all. I joined in the bandwagon real late because we only come to Makati for a short period of time with tons of errands thus, going to Global City just to eat cronuts seemed like an off idea...

"SEEMED" like an off idea.

The travel time (all 30 minutes of it) from Greenbelt (where we're staying) to 4th Ave. cor. 26th St. in Global City was well worth it. The cronuts were nothing I ever tasted before! I examined them closely (before devouring them) and they do not resemble a croissant X donut (where I assumed the term cronuts was coined from). They all looked like filed layers of filo pastry shaped into a donut, lavished with donut glazes and injected with donut fillings except that they're light and crispy, so unlike donuts. And sooo delish, I must say!

Lunch in Wildflour (with my bffs and beau husband) proved to be really, really AWESOME. Everything that we ordered came out soooooo good. It's really one resto I would definitely keep coming back to! So my dearies, if you happen to be in the Metro, go sample Wildflour's spread. You definitely won't regret it.

Roasted Bone Marrow with Mango Salsa

Steak and Eggs with Fried Kimchi Rice

Their Wild Mushroom whatevs (I call this pizzata!)

Not too many food shots though, we ate them all up before snapshots were taken. The rocket/mushroom salad would've been a fabbb feature. Boo. Anyway, sending y'all some love and light!

Back To Writing... err, BLOGGING.

So I found myself reading my old Multiply posts (saved in Word file) this morning... And as narcissistic as it may sound, I was entertained. The feeling of how therapeutic writing or blogging was for me years back came rushing in. My fingers started to itch so, here I am again.

I can't recall why I decided to stop blogging. The death of Multiply probably affected me (hahaha) after all, I started blogging on Multiply year 2005 (yeppp, I was already around the baby years of the internet; having Computer Science as my major in college, it was a requirement to love the internet - that's 1999 to date of internet lovin' for me!)

MAYBE I stopped writing because law school happened (I soon realized I am nowhere near at par my gifted, then-law-school classmate who managed to still blog despite law school's overwhelming demands and on top, earn from it (blogging) and even get recognize doing it) and then "un-happened." Then, I got pregnant again (did I mention I already have 3 kids?!) and finally tied the knot with my long-time partner... then gave birth (yes, 3 kids, un-freaking-believable!) and well, currently taking up that time-consuming licensure review for Real Estate Brokers (yes, I am also a Real Estate Broker - actually licensed in 2006 but because "family" happened in 2009, I was not able to pursue said career anymore plus we decided to migrate to Davao (from Makati) and then DTI renegaded its licensing powers to PRC thus me having to re-do the licensing process all over again.) so I can take ace the PRC board exam next year and slowly inch my way back to the good, old me: independent, career-oriented woman on top of the world (who weighs ONLY a 110lbs.) (uhm, I still love to daydream from time to time).

Anyway, I guess me finally being able to blog again means that the "writer's block" (if there was every any) is finally gone . My 2012 and 2013 had been a one big blob of a busy blur. I am SOOOO eager and excited for what 2014 has installed for ME!

Cheers to the old and new versions of US!
